In Dead Island 2, players can add upgrades to their weapons to make them even better at killing zombies.
Dead Island 2 is a zombie game set in the burned-out ruins of L.A. It has a semi-open world. Six different characters, like Amy or Ryan, can be played by the player. Each character has different stats and skills. It’s a real RPG with a character selection system that can help make the game more interesting, especially for those who use the co-op multiplayer.
Mods are the best thing Dead Island 2 has to offer in terms of game play, though. Guns and fighting weapons can be upgraded with things like a way to shock enemies when they are hit. What are the best mods to put on gear, out of all the ones in the game?
Mutilators
Mutilators are kind of like extra blades that can be added to weapons. They work best on bladed weapons, like the different swords in the game. Mutilators make attacks more powerful overall, but they also make zombies weaker.
When players are weak, zombies can help them get their strength back. Now, stamina won’t matter as much as it did in the first Dead Island game, but in this sequel, any way to get back lost energy is a good thing. This makes it easy to move around the open world.
Electrocutors
Electrocutors will also make a weapon do more damage generally. But that’s not the coolest thing about these weapon mods, since they also add electricity. This Shock damage works best on zombies that have been wet.
The good news is that Dead Island 2 is full of water cans and barrels. Wet zombies will let more electricity through, so they will become Electrified faster. This will stop zombies in their tracks, like a stun, but it will also hurt them and anyone else in the area. It’s a great mod for dealing with a lot of zombies at once, which is common in zombie games.
Cremators
Another elemental change in the game is a crematorium. Players can make their attacks do more damage total and add fire damage to them. Like water can make electricity stronger, a few different things can make fire stronger in Dead Island 2.
Gasoline and oil can be found in the world, and when they are put on zombies, they catch fire. When players add Cremator mods to blades like knives, they can think they have very basic lightsabers like in Star Wars.
Liquidators
Liquidators are the last big material change in the game that players should pay attention to. It will make attacks do more harm and add Caustic damage to them. In Dead Island 2, caustic damage is like poison damage for enemies, just like it is in other RPGs.
The main difference between normal poison damage and Caustic damage is that Caustic damage will cause zombies to start melting. It is a stronger, more acidic chemical property that can make even the scariest zombies look even worse as they turn into goo.
Slaughter
Slaughter is a good change you can make to bladed weapons. It will make foes’ limbs hurt more. If this is paired with the Mutilator mods, players can really go to town on arms and legs, like a crack assassin who only kills arms and legs.
But this isn’t the only good thing about the Slayer mod. It will also make you more durable. The durability of a weapon is like its life, and the more durability it has, the less money players will have to spend fixing it.
Empowering
By empowering, the general damage of the weapon will go up when it gets a critical hit. When a weapon is charged up, it also makes a heavy hit do more damage. You can put this mod into a lot of good weapons, but heavy weapons like maces and bats work best.
Empowering is a type of mod that makes blunt tools, like bats, great for working in groups. Just hit the bat, knock a few zombies back, and then either kill them all or run away. In Slope Game, it’s never a bad thing to run away from danger.
Damaging
Damage is one of the game’s most basic mods, but it works well to get rid of zombies. It will do a lot more to improve damage than some other mods, like the Electrocutor or Cremator. Most damage comes from guns, but it can also come from melee weapons.
In Dead Island 2, guns are like god-level weapons, just like they are in many zombie games, because they give players an edge when they are far away. Increasing attack power through Damage will make guns even more dangerous to zombies.
Speedloader
If people are going to use guns to kill zombies, they should give them as many specials as they can. Speedloader will make it possible to reload a gun faster. Pistols and rifles are easy to reload, but shotguns aren’t as good.
Speedloader is especially helpful with shotguns because of this, but it’s a big plus for all guns. No one wants to find themselves surrounded by zombies and have to reload. In a zombie game, that can end a player’s life quickly.
